SLING AXES
PLANT TREES

News // 12.01.2022

Sling axes, plant trees - the unofficial Whistle Punks motto.

That’s because we love trees – absolutely love them! We take every chance to be environmentally friendly and one of the best ways is by planting trees. This year began funding tree planting with Ecologi.

That is also why our business cards, flyers and posters are made from recycled OR plantable paper.

Plantable paper can be planted to grow herbs and flowers. Check out how:

We said it before, we’ll say it again. We love trees. And we also love love. So we combined them for Valentine’s Day! You can help plant more trees by booking a Double Axe Ticket with us. For every package we sell, we plant a tree with Ecologi.

What is Plantable Paper?

Plantable paper is paper made from paper waste which is then embedded with seeds. The best thing about this is that plantable paper is biodegradable, eco-friendly and zero trees were harmed in the process!

As the name suggests, once you are done with the paper you can plant the paper in a garden or a plant pot or in a field and watch as flowers, vegetables or herbs grow from it. The paper will compost away and you will be left with new life and no waste.

When the paper is planted in a pot of soil, the seeds grow and the paper composts away. All that is left behind is flowers, herbs or vegetables, and no waste...

The Little Green Paper Shop has created a plantable calendar, tear the month off and plant it immediately! And we’ve seen images of paper cups being made from plantable paper.
